I did an LOF on a 07' Ridgeline today.
While on the rack, my partner and I were going over it with a fine toothed comb. This Vehicle is really nothing more than a biscut getter with a short box for a bed. Sure, it has a Honda badge and it's 4wd, but that's where it stops.
1) the drive shaft is damn near as long as the entire truck - it literally is as long as the truck.
2) the rear suspension is just begging to be torn off by the smallest obsticale. The swing arms are way too low and there's not any type of skid plate to protect it.
Anyway, if you do any kind of off roading more than a drive on the beach, you do not want a Ridgeline.
As far as 6.0(sick'oh) Trucks.
My 05' 350 srw lwb (9/04) @ 54k miles has been flawless. I'm condisering the switch to Amsoil (mainly because I get it at cost) and I use it as a daily driver. Other than the 325/65-18" tires, it's bone stock. I get between 14-16 mpg in town and 18+ on the interstate, pending driving habbits.
I do use a fuel additive that Ford stocks, mainly because if something does happen, I can say it was their product
Cheers.

They insist every child wear a helmet at play, no one should ride motorcycles, every car should be 4 cylinders or less and get 50 mpg or better, and most power tools are unsafe. Consumer Reports should stop testing anything other than kitchen appliances.
Mamby pamby sissies.

I couldn't agree more.

It costs alot of money to change designs. Dodge & GM are still running the same diesel that they came out with in last what 8-10 years. Oh they have made upgrades but it the same engine. Now Dodge Cummins has a 6.7 diesel out. I know nothing about it. But I see the old 5.9 Cummins is still available in 08.

But as stated, the biggest reason for Ford changing motors is the Emissions laws.
Here is a link to some more info. Note it mentions a different block in 06.
