I read about the scangage II in another thread. It got me thinking as I have be considering a trans & water temp gages. I'd like to hear from others that have it, are you happy with it? Is there other companys with similar things that I should consider?
I have it and I like it, at the same time I am very disappointed that it doesn't do more.
I knew that it would not tell me water temp when I ordered the gauge.
I sent it back for the $25 re-flash that became available. That was advertised to have the trans temp register as well as some other items. I thought it may also show the water temp, although that was not promised by the company, Linear Logic.
Anyway, I got the unit back from the re-flash and it doesn't read anything now that I'm interested in that it didn't read before. I spoke with people there and they weren't able to tell me anything that made me happy. You may be able to find posts I've made on another thread about this.
That is disappointing that there is no water temp. Do you have the current model? The web sight makes it sound like the end user can update it for new codes as they become available.
Anyone else have info on this or other similar units?

Yes. I got the codes to do the updates, but the ones I'm interested in don't work on my truck
I just recently got a scanguage, and it does do coolant temperature and trans temp on my 2001 F250. You have to enter the codes for trans temp manually.
rwilimi - it should work fine on your 2004. I ordered mine with the blendmount, and it is great. I too wanted guages, but didn't want to hang a bunch of individual ones all over the place. This solves the problem, gives me even more info than I wanted, and is out of the way.
Don't know what year trucks all of you have, but if you have a 2005 and up truck with a gas engine, or any truck with the 6.0L powerstroke you may also want to look at the MSD Dashhawk. I have had one in my truck for a while now and I am very happy with it. Here is a link to my thread in the 6.0L forum where I have posted pics and a spreadsheet of all the available parameters on my truck.
