Okay I think I have the system sealed, the diesel isn't leaking any more, but I guess no one has any idea on the rough idle. I found that it is only noticeable when colder or warming up. Once I get driving around it seems to be pretty smooth. That seems kinda odd to me. My truck fires up perfectly even below freezeing and not plugged in, so I dont think the Glow plug system has anything to do with it.
What does oil coming out of the ICP mean? Obvious that it needs a new o ring or gasket, but can that cause a rough idle?
That it's shot and you need a new one. It is a sealed sendor that measures the oil pressure in the head and tells the PCM what pressure the IPR needs to maintain. Bad ICP signal to PCM means a fluctuating signal to the IPR and fluctuating oil pressure in the heads to fire the injectors.
Sorry guys but I'm still at work on this one. It seems like we have all but given up.
I checked the fuel preasure. It is good at 70 PSI max at 74.
I believe I have found the leak and fixed it.
I do have another symptom to add. This last week I have gotten the worest gas milage I have ever had. I swear it is half what it used to be before the new idm and fuel pump.
I do have one question. I found a connection by the driverside valve cover. It is not connected to anything and I can't find where it goes. I know it is not the EBPV connection so that is out, but it is right in the same spot. I have a pic if I need to load it, but can anybody say off the top of their head what the connections goes to?
come on no one knows what connection it is? It is driving me crazy trying to figure it out. I thought someone would be able to slap the answer out before I could finish typing.
I believe it is a two prong. Is a two prong connection some where on the bottom of the fuel filter canister? I did just remove it to install the fuel pump. I guess I could have forgot it.
I guess its you and me TJ. I hope that with this pic we can figure it out. I think everyone else gave up on us. Well here it is. I have been thinking and from memory I cant place where it goes, but it must be somewhere close and probebly under the filter canister. You know where I cant see or reach.
