Smile What time is it?

I'm slowly putting life back into an '82 F350 SRW 4x4. The previous ower wasn't very nice to it but, my questions are. One, is there a company that sells new in-dash Sparkomatic type clocks for the early 80's Fords? And second, is there a company that makes replacement dash pads for these trucks? I'd rather replace the whole dash pad rather than covering it up with a slip-on cover. I've been through many salvage yards trying to find these parts but, the junk yard parts aren't much better than mine. Please let me/us know if there is such a company, thanks.

For the dash pad try LMC truck. I don't know about the clock since I haven't seen it in the catalog. Would look but I gotta get going

In LMC you can buy almost any dash board parts, besides the pad. And the only clocks they sell are the one you hang on a wall. Its going to suck when I get my truck done and still have a dash pad that looks like hell.

Nice pads come up on ebay occasionally, might run as much as $100 including shipping. That's how I got my blue one, but it takes checking your customized search every day...alot of patience....not something most people have much of nowadays.

I don't know what you have against' the dash board covers I used one from LMC and the only way you could tell it was a cover is when you took it off and you could see the old speaker mesh, they really have a nice fit.

If you look in my gallery at Barney you can see my cover.

Like Glenn, I was pleased with the dash and both door panel covers. All three fit nicely and installed easily with a little TLC.

My interior can be seen in my gallery also.

Good luck.

Hi DCP.

You will NOT find a Ford dash pad for 1980 - 1986 Ford trucks because no vendor that I know of makes them, at least, not yet. And I have been checking them ALL for 3 years now. The only way you are going to find an original Ford dash pad is to keep searching on ebay, and you might get lucky. But then chances are you are going to have to dye the pad to match your truck. It's been a while since I have seen a good one that doesn't have the speaker hole busted out of it. And if you do find one, it is going to cost you.

The Ford clocks are another one of those itens that you are not going to find, because no vendor that I know of makes them either. Again, I have been searching for 3 years now. Again, ebay is going to be the only source.

I MUST clarify my response. I did not purchase a "dash pad" I bought a "cover" that is glued onto the existing dash pad.

If you are looking for an original padded cover, I wish you good luck.

If you buy an original Ford clock on ebay or at a junkyard make sure you get the clock wiring harness/connectors with it. That way it's plug/play. Without the original clock harness you have make up one. Clocks with the harness rarely show up on ebay but I've seen several harnesses in junk vehicles where the clocks had already been removed.

I've got a pretty nice spare dash pad sitting in the garage...it needs some fiberglass repair to a couple of the u-nut mounting points where the dash bezel screws to the pad, but that's a really easy fix. Beyond that the only defect is a 1/4" crack between two of holes on the speaker grill that you really have to look for to notice. Right now it's gray, but SEM makes spray dye in all the factory colors....the stuff works so well you have to try hard to mess it up. Let me know if you think this might help.
