I got a crack in my 97 F250s dash pad. Interior is that royal blue color, code "6V" from what I recall. Anyways, I can't really find that pad that runs from the radio to the passengers door in that blue color. But I found these covers on Jeffs Bronco Grave Yard.
Wanted to know if I should get the light blue or dark blue for a code "V" interior.
Yes, take out the glove box and the radio to get to them. I quarter inch drive ratchet is your friend here. There are seven nuts if I remember correctly. The four around the radio are the biggest pain. I have the blue interior as well and the 92-94 are a lighter shade. I have had a hard time finding the darker one for my 95 on ebay or at the jy.
Yea, I guess I got lucky. I found 5 or 6 pads from like 92 and 93 trucks, but I found that one from a 96 and it looked darker in pictures than all the others so I'm gonna take a guess it's the right color... Hope so atleast you know? haha.
I have a really small snapon ratchet at work and an even smaller matco offset screwdriver with a 1/4 drive adapter. One of those will work I guess... I know how to get the radios out of these trucks (aftermarket head unit, super easy)... But I've never taken the glove box out. I'm always afraid to work on the interiors of these trucks because the plastic is so crappy.
