I have a 1978 F250 4x4 that I am swapping in a 1995 EFI 460 into, swap done. I just need to figure out the easiest way to hook up the tranny kickdown linkage.
1. The 78 linkage was the kickdown rod, which was for the carb with linkage on the driver side of the truck. (push scenario)
2. The 95 throttle body linkage is on the passenger side and they did not offer the C6 on the 95 460 (OD trannies only). No solution here.....
3. As far as I know, the Lokar cable adapter is for carb set-ups. Not sure if it will work for the EFI throttle body set-up.
4. I also saw somewhere that if you flip the kickdown arm on the tranny you can go to a pull-pull scenario, easier to make a cable for without installing a pivot near the tranny to change the direction of the cable.
5. Is there a cable system from the 80's EFI 460's that will solve my problem.

That's not true. The last year that the C6 was available with the 460 in the Fseries was 1996. They were rare, but they were sold. They were mostly fleet sales. Check with a Ford parts counter. If they know what they are doing they will be able to find it.
Mark, you are absolutely right. Called up the local parts counter and they'll have it here tomorrow. Part number 7AY87 for a 460 EFI to kickdown a C6 $113.64 retail.
