I had to customize the linkage and throttle rod(73). So far ...so good.

I added a extension on the factory linkage to mate wit the Ford kickdown part of the Edelbrock carb.

Had wife mash it to floor and checked to make sure aCarb was WFO, then while she held it down, I moved truck's kickdown as far back as possible. Measure difference, made extension that long and simply bolted it to the Ford link.

Fine adjust with screw.

I know this is an old thread, but what is the Edelbrock part # for the kickdown linkage? Doing a 429/C6 with Performer intake, and a 1407 Eddie carb. Thanks.

Ok, #1483. Is this the only piece I will need to connect my kickdown rod.

That should be all you need. I installed a 1411 on a 77 460/C6 last week, using the 1483 linkage, and it all went together nicely.

I thought that bar off the corner was a pretty poor design, but I bent it up, so the spring clears the linkage, and it works fine on mine

Anyone using the Lokar on a Speed Demon/C6? The carb has a ball/lever but doesn't reach the rod. Might try bending it.
