Has anyone ever used a brake lock? My neighbor has an F350(74) with dump bed and he has a lever on dash that locks the hydraulic brakes on. Push pedal, pull lever, all four brakes set. He sez a lot of delivery trucks have them.
That sounds like something i'd be interested in for my F350.
a lot of older tow trucks have them for some reason. they are good, but they dont help in an "emergency"!! they are useless if you have a blown line. allthough, they might help bleeding the brakes by yourself?
more on topic, i have a 77 vin ending in Y00xxx this would be pre Y40,000 correct? i need break cables all the way around. mine have not worked in years. i have a hard time finding parts for this truck, sometimes its pre and sometimes its post! it never fails, i ALWAYS get the wrong part.
