Hi!
Need some help! Have 2 questions.
Making a list of parts I need to order from U.S
When parts are listed from or before a Serial number like this
1976 - 1977 F100-F350(FROM 76 SERIAL# C25,001)
Does it matter if the Truck were made in the Ontario Plant, Canada or are
the Serial Numbers for all Plants? Mine have #25375.
Do you know anything about the quality for this Switches. Prices differs quite a lot $15-45?
Thanks!

DC has D7TZ-11654-A but I suppose it's still an aftermarket part and the part number is just for reference? Is it the same quality all over or could the switch from DC been made in U.S and the $15 switch chinese?

The original part number: D7TZ-11654-A
CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 3 = 704-786-8139.
I assume these are NOS, but one never knows, it could be a made in China crap repro. Carpenter's NOS parts are usually not listed in his catalogs.
GREEN SALES CO in Cincinnati OH has 12 = 513-731-3304 .. These might be NOS .. Green ships "across the pond" via Fed-Ex.
D7TZ-11654-B replaced D7TZ-11654-A = GREEN SALES has 6.
If you type these part numbers on Green's website, REMOVE the hyphens. Type 'em like this: D7TZ11654A or D7TZ11654B
Thanks a lot Bill!
I will try to avoid chinese as long as i can. Probably even better to find and clean a good used then buying a new chinese. I will call Green Sales for a couple of parts I will need. Thanks.

There are 14 Ford dealers that have NOS switches, but I don't know how many (or if any) will ship "across the pond."
If Ford sold any vehicles in Sweden during the time these switches were used, you might be able to source one locally. The Ford of Europe switches might've even been better, as lighting always seems to be a greater priority acrossed the old pond. The million-euro question is: Do they plug into our stuff, and work???
My Truck was not made for export. It came from PA in 1976 and I dont think Headlight Switch is different from yours.
Interesting reflection about the lightning over here. I remember the lightning for Volvo back in 1976. The lights came on when engine started and you had to work hard to find a switch to turn it off ! ! !
I'm just not sure if the Euro Ford switch is compatible with its contemporary USDM Ford cousins.
How do you know there is such a thing? AFAIK, US Ford trucks were not sold in Europe.
According to the OP's truck Warranty Plate pictured in post #1, truck assembled in Oakville Ontario Canada and ordered from the Buffalo NY Ford District Sales Office (DSO: 12).
Sorry for bad reading comprehension!
No, there are no compatible Switches from any Euro Ford from his years but we have some Wrecking Yards for american cars. One problem is that Trucks and Broncos for this years are very unusual. I dont know why because we have tons of american cars both before and after this years. I have tried to find a 78-79 Bronco for sale for years without success and I have tried to find a 400 engine and I can easily find a 260,289,302,351w, 351cl, 360,390 and even a 428cj but not a 351M/400.
Thanks to FTE it's actually easier to have a shipment from U.S once or twice a year. I have had absolutely fantastic help, not only with trouble shooting, but also finding Parts, Parts Numbers and some even helped me out sending Parts over here!!!

Cars were, in limited numbers I believe.
I have a switch from a mid '70s full-size Mercury in my F150 - complete with the vacuum switch for the Merc's covered headlights - and it to works fine.
There may be European Fords over there - like 1st gen Mk1 or whatever Capris, complete with Ford badging. Not sure if those old Capris used the same switch as say a Mustang or an F150, but if they do, then OEM switches should be a dime a dozen, or at least able to save the hassles of an international transaction.

So is it an F100 or an F150? I see 14 in the VIN, but also the GVW of 6150 lbs. That's higher than my 150, which says 6050 lbs.

F14 = F150 4WD .. No F100 4WD's after 1976.
F150 4WD's have a higher GVWR than 2WD's.
1971 thru 1977 Capri's are imports (Germany). There were no 1978's, then in 1979 became "rebadged" Mustangs.
In the 1950's/60's, all manner of English Ford's were imported, the last was the Cortina that mechanics hated to work on.
