Very Nice well ok not so nice! Was that HG failure with studs? look like the head on pics with the HG sticking out the back was with studs. Also what kind of boost were you pushing? Also guessing the HG failure turned into a hydro lock with the rod?

Yes that hg failure was with h11 studs. We had a pcm problem causing the engine to randomly cut out at wot. First thought it was a chip problem so i was down at TW's changing chips/ tuning. While out on the test drive i was racing a new Mustang and it popped as i was in the process of putting bus lengths on him. At the same time it blew a soft plug out of the back which caused a slight oil leak. I drove the truck 7 miles (1/2 mile from TW's) before it wouldnt run anymore due to not having any oil in the engine lol. The block also broke that time, just never got any pics of it. Boost was mid 40's. The connecting rods got bent in the engine previous to the built engine, turns out they didnt like 550 rwhp very well.

I dont think there is enough bandwidth to list all mine lol. Just this year two clutches, bellhousing, yoke, three rear ends, 1 catistrofic turbo failure, broken high pressure fuel line, and I am sure a few other things and some that are bent/twisted ready to go anytime. This was just from this past year I still have tons of blown hg's bent rods and broken blocks from PSD's layin around the shop.

Bean I have heard the bellhousings are commonly broken. Is that your experience? My brother has seen a few but i don't hear about it here.

Edit: I mean on 5 speeds.

yes its pretty common on 5spds when the DMFW comes apart. Mine was not due to violent shaking it was due to my DD clutch slipping so bad that the pressure plate blew up into pieces and went through the bell housing.
