Your loss was do to boost or just age?
Looks like boost. What is your peak boost.
Carnage picts are like boats let friends have them.
Bill (a-hole boat owner)
Boost related! at the time I was pushing 33 psi. I was on my way home from work on the highway and wanted to do a WOT 70 mph-???? run just a few miles from home. So it saw 33 psi prolonged, combined with the 10W30 oil I was running and when I shut it off at home I heard the impeller scraping the intake housing! I knew what I did!!
After 21 years and 270,000 mi on my 86 Bronco II this is my worst ever. The 5000lb beast flopped in a landslide. Happened 4/15/07 on Hole In The Rock trail near Halls Crossing, Utah. Damn wet groud collapsed under me. This badass Ford was still running on its side. Winched it up, started it and drove it back to Halls Crossing. Loaded it on the trailer and hauled it home 400mi. Body shop welded in a junkyard roof and right side, new glass, new paint - good as new for the first post flop run on 7/7/07. One experience I hope never to repeat.
Does it have to be ford related? I have some serious carnage pics of a chebby......
Cowboy Steve
I say lets see them all.
Does anybody have that pic where the diesel drag blew his engine block in two. I have seen the pics and thought it was here on FTE but now I cant find them.
first flight on my helicopter when we opened the Prescott base, one diead at the scene we transported Joe to john C Lincoln North Mountain but she died shortly after. both friends of the family.
hit by a Dodge 2500 going 70mph towing a 24' travel trailer.
car was making a U turn
You know I thought that we would see some more powerstroke carnage. Like broken drive shafts or blown transmissions. I guess that means that everyone's truck must be running strong.
I should take a picture of the PS that ran for a super long time with blown injector o-rings, took out the rollors on the lifter, dropped one push rod and wrapped around the camshaft taking out two other pushroads. engine was running on 6 cylinders and drove it 200 kms like that untill we pulled the engine. That stupid van still went like a bat out of hell for some stupid reason. Maybe it was the fact the oil flowed like water????
