300 CID Do Nice Burnouts!!!!

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-Sep-02 AT 08:29 PM (EST)]I don't care who says 300 6's can not do a burnout, This truck has 28 spline 2.75:1 Rear end gears and no mods to the engine with the exception to a B&M LINE LOC... It Does nice burnouts the only reason I had normal 15's was the fact of $375.00 A tire for the BFGOODRICH tires This was done at lacombe in Alberta and if it is in a water Box it will do a burnout with the 35" tires Bad for the Axles 4 I have broke Don't do burnouts 80 Km from town on Dry Pavement with a Neutral Drop IT HURTS. POSI will occur with the 15" tires but a 300 still can do one TORQUE!!!YA
Question should I go with Stronger 31 spline diff with 3.55 gears or a 31 spline 4.56??? 9 Inch Help This truck really sucks on the highway
Check IT OUT!

300 CID Do Nice Burnouts!!!!

why would you keep doing nuetral drops and brake stands if you have blown 4 axles

try a 9" for your burnout fun, and anything can do a burnout with a line lock

Good Point
It has a 9" Rear with 2.75:1 Gears with 28 spine axles and I would like to have a strange 35 spline diff..(Really Sweet harden Axles) 3.00-3.90 Gears Im looking for just a Shur-loc,detroit loc or a limeted slip rear end and would appreciate any lines on one
Thanx

300 CID Do Nice Burnouts!!!!

my 93 will do nice burnouts if i could get my tires to break loose, i have a posi and its hard. also 31x10.50x15 bfg ATs arent the easiest to break loose and i dont want to do it often, they are expensive. i power brake (auto) once and a while but i only "accidentally" dropped it outta neutral once, it knocks the **** outta the tranny and rears so does power braking. but my truck will do a nice job of laying a patch of rubber if i pull out on a turn or if its a dirt road to paved.

I've been able to do a few regular burnouts with my truck, however i believe it was because one tire was balder than the other. Went back to look at my patch, and there was only rubber from one tire. OOOOps, oh well, it was fun, and im still scraping rubber chunks from the wheel weel.

Had a 77 1/2 ton with a 300 6 and 4spd. Rev it up and drop the clutch. 90 ft 1 tire fire. Was lots of fun, and won a few bets with that one.

the 31 spline is the way to go. i have an 86 f150 4x4 on 38" tires with a np435 and 205 transefer case. i dont like to get stuck so it will go from first to reverse often and with great force. i have now gone through 2 tranies, and still have the same axles that i put in it 4 years ago. these are the strogest 1/2 ton axles out ther in my opinion. i have checked the splines on them several times and they are still fine. if you wont strength, go with them.

300 CID Do Nice Burnouts!!!!

My 84 F-250 4x4 will ROAST em' with a 300- unfair advantage, it's quite well built. Still, 265/75R16 tires don't stand a chance. I put them on in January, and burned them off by May. My favorite is to pull up next to someone, take off normal, then punch it into 3rd. It tries to swap ends, smoke everywhere. Just check for cops before insanity.
