i got a 300 recently and i was wondering if its an easy truck to do burnouts in im 18 and owned a pos 2.5 jeep and i dont kno how to do a burnout with a manual i
You're 18 and want to do burnouts with a 300 and a manual.....
Maybe you and my nephew can swap stories waiting for the judge...him for his 120 mph ticket, you for exhibition of speed.
OK. The 300 isn't great at burnouts as it doesn't wind up like a V8. So, in the interest of your motor mounts, clutch and differential, your best bet is to start with the rear wheels wet. You've got to get them spinning with some tricky clutch dump action in 2nd gear while holding enough pressure on the brake to hold the truck back. After one or two sets of u joints and a new differential, you will have it mastered.
The only way I got my retired '88 to go when I was younger, was to wind it up, dump the clutch and jump on the brakes. Other wise the stock clutch wont hold up. but, i also tore apart the motor mount in the process and decided that was the last time i'de do that.
The 300 in stock form is no brake stand king, if you want that, buy a short bed 302 or 351 with an automatic.

Goodness grief, 120 MPH! Sorry for taking this off topic; what are the consequences for that? I've heard that if you're going a certain excessive amount over the limit then it is considered a felony; I don't know if that's true or not. Tell him he's lucky to be alive. When I first got my license I owned an about-to-be-junked Ranger and I was lucky enough just to get it to highway speeds.
ya i got a 350 chevy from my boss for free i think ill do some burnouts in that because my 300 has 60k miles and will pry be my daily driver for the next 20 years
a noob at burn outs. lol. i wouldn't recommend that with a truck like that. hell, my 300 won't spin the tires. it only spins one, and thats in stones, or wet around a turn only if i stomp it in 1st gear. just stick with driving sensibly and your truck will last longer.

Fine is over $1000, reckless driving is a misdemeanor, and I think he has a privisional drivers license violation as well.
We don't have details yet. I told them not to get him that car.... I am glad I don't live under that roof at this point.
TJ, ya listening? That cloud of smoke will draw the cops from miles away...
Work on your braking so you can stop that thing without going all over the road, and work on smoothness, so your passengers won't notice when you go from acceleration to cruise to brakes.... Try it.
the only times ive ever gotten my 83 to spin its tires was going around a really choppy corner in second on the power. and then of course dropping the clutch in granny low with the wheels turned all the way to the left. i dont think you could really get a stationary smokey burnout in granny low though. itd be pretty funny to see though. front wheels not moving and the rear tires turning slowly enough to see them. itd probably just wheel hop like a ******* than actually burn.
stick to towing the moon. V8s are for speed and power.

Read that very carefully. Driving is a privilege not a right. Save the burnouts for the dragstrip.
haha has anyone even taken a stock or mildly modified 300 F Series to the dragstrip? whatll it do it like 19.5 at 72 mph? lol the thought is entertaining. im sure mine would run like a 24 second quarter (slipping clutch and im afraid of going over 3500 rpm from fear of getting smacked in the face with a piston or valve or maybe a chunk of the block). could probably race it against a go cart. anyways, one thing i'd like to ask all these guys who do crazy burnouts with theirs is whether or not you all have an LSD rear? mines a 3.55 open so that certainly helps in the wheelspin category.
