I didn't get a chance to respond , because the thread was closed because of the nice language some of you use . If you want to see what your truck will do , do a holeshot not a burn out , with a stick just dump the clutch & nail it , no brake , with an auto just hold the brake till the converter is ready to unload then let off the brakes & nail it. If it dosn't spin the tires then , your getting good traction or your truck has no ***** . A burnout is done at the strip in the water box to heat up big slicks that need to be hot to hook up good. Most street tires & drag radials don't need alot of heat to work good , so a long burnout is not nessesary . Doing this on the street dose nothing IMO. Take it to the strip or a nice wide road with no traffic or side roads . You want your truck to jump out of the hole with the least amount of tire spin as possable , traction bars , ladder bars, tires , shocks all help with this ....Lew
Yeah i guess you guys are right , i just searched this form for holeshots, there were 5 threads that mention holeshot , 2 in 2002 , 1 in 2005 , 1 in 2006 , & this one , damm that is alot !!!
Well i dont feel the need to explain it but I enjoy doing burnouts so heres 2 of mine, not my pickup but still cool
Got new tires for the bike, so had to finish off the old one Motorcycle burnout Video by Kevin - MySpace Video
I like to spin the tires to , thats fun , just don't like to use the brake to do it , motor power is more fun for me , like to get up on the wheel when it gets losse...Lew
Uhh.... i cant spin em if i dont power brake Its a heavy truck with 33's. Dont hook too well straight up but it is fun when the smoke pours out from under both sides of the bed. Don't be a hater
