MSD Heli-Core Spark Plug Wires
I would like to purchase a set of the above wires for my nephews 93 F150 which has the inline 4.9L V6. MSD states there is no custom set but I was wondering if anyone has ordered one of their generic sets and could give me the part number they ordered. I would like this to be a surprise so I don't want to quiz him about it, nor do I want to end up with the wrong set. I am leaning toward the 3117 set. I will also be ordering the MSD TFI coil.
3117 Description:
Universal, for 6-cylinder engines, with socket and HEI style distributor cap boots, multi-angle spark plug boots, 8 mm, helical wound core, silicone jacket, 2-in-1 Heli-Core wire set
MSD Heli-Core Ignition wires use a solid conductor that is wound around a glass inner core, giving them the low resistance and maximum voltage capacity of solid core wire with the radio frequency (RF) reduction qualities of spiral core wires.
