1970 F-600 DUMP TRUCK

Just purchased 1970 F-600 Ford dump truck at an auction. On the trip home blew a spark plug out of the head, looks like it was heli-cored in. Would like to look at options of replacing heads but first need to know what motor it is and what heads are available. Could also try new heli-core but would like thoughts on how well they hold. Also would like to decode the VIN to find what engine.
VIN # is F61CCJ10930

Thanks,
Jim

Tune up parts (points, condenser, rotor, cap) are the same: 1957/73 V8 Passenger Cars, Trucks, 1966/73 Bronco's and 1969/73 Econolines.

Also the same as 1974/75 V8's without DuraSpark electronic ignition....all except with dual point dizzies.

Available from any autoparts store as I would assume the engine parts are.

This may sound ridiculous, but if it comes down to it I have seen jb welded spark plugs last a long time when the threads get stripped out..

Of course if you're trying to do the restoration deal your not gonna be able to live with the fact that you've glued your spark plug to your head..
