Where can I find an adjustable valvetrain for the FE390
Hello all,
I am rebuilding the FE360 in my 73 F-100. I have already bored it out to 390 and in search of an adjustable valvetrain so that I can have several choices in cams. Does anyone know where I can get a set?

You can buy rockers from jegs, summit, Performance automotive wharehouse. I would get rid of those sprigs and get spacers to keep the rockers from moving side to side.

How do you bore a 360 to 390 when they have the same bore size? Try Federal Mogul they are what I run on my 360 just need adjustable pushrods is all

I don't run adjustable pushrods only adjustable rockers. I feel the adjustable pushrods would be a weak link in my valve train.

Jeg's sells the Ductile Iron ones that are much better than stock, but you really don't need them. I run a Crower Beast cam in mine and use stock non-adjustable setup. You can find many cams that don't require the adjustable arms, but the upside is with the adj arms, you can set the lash without new pushrods. DCMotorsports sells new setups for about $50 less than the Crane Ductile Iron ones, but they aren't as strong.
For an additional $100 or so, you can get the HarlandSharp rollers that have a GREAT rep!
Check out the tech area of this forum for hints about adjusting them properly.

I bought adjustable valve train for my 390 from Crane. A set of adjustable rockers that fit on the stock rocker shaft, and a set of their special beefy pushrods that need to be used with their rockers. I also found that my stock valve covers wouldn't clear the rockers so I bought Ford Motorsport chrome valve covers that are taller (meant to fit 428's) All together it cost around $400 retail roughly.

you misunderstood me, and I said it wrong I guess, the adjustable rocker arms run a ball and cup pushrod, the non adjustable run ball and ball for the ends, you have to have ball and cup to run pushrod to run adjustable rocker arms
