'08 F450

Has anyone seen a new F450 that does not have the crew cab? My Dad is looking to trade up to one but he "HATES" crewcabs. He only wants an extended cab. The local dealer sez that he can only get the crews, but I was sure I seen extended cabs going down the road somewhere in my travels.

The 450's are only available in a Crew Cab, Long bed, diesel configuration.

.....and DRW. I have seen several '08 regular/super/crew cabs in F-450 SD with dump beds on them. So he could have exactly what he wants, but would have to order it like a commercial vehicle without a bed and then have a bed dropped on it. This would be way too expensive.

He is just better off ordering an F-350 in what he wants. You can get those in regular/super/crew cab configurations.

The F450 chassis cab can be ordered in regular, super, and crew cab configurations, but like DonJames said these do not come with a bed on them. I believe that the frame is slightly different so if he wanted a regular truck bed he would have to have one modified to work.

You can only get F-450 with pick-up bed on it in CC only and 8ft bed is only way I have seen it. I had F-250 SC was nice, but love CC 4 doors more room and is better for the family for going places.

I know this is an old thread, but there is a '08 F450, Regular Cab, Long bed sitting on the dealer lot here.

An F-450 with anything besides a Crew Cab probably started life as a chassis cab model. Keep in mind those have the narrow frame compared to a pickup frame.
