I've been running my 428 for about 7 years now. I know it is standard bore(used to be a 410). I have been looking at the casting numbers and have been wondering what the block was intended to be. I have the 352 on the front of the block, but above it I also have a 23(smaller script than the 352 but same style). Block casting number is C5AE-A. Sorry for the long post. Thanx for any help.
I know the block is a 1965 casting and I am suprised you got it to bore out to a 428. I believe that is pretty rare. Others will be able to give you all the specs.
410 engines are 390 blocks with 428 cranks. For you to have converted it to 428, it had to be bored .080" Thanks a lot, and most FE blocks are weak when bored that much. All FE blocks have 352 on the outside. Ignore it.

What kind of heads i need to get the 410?
(i have the block and the crank)
any 352/360/390/406/428 head will work, and the small valve 427's will to, smaller chambers will mean better compression, anything after C8 will probably have smaller ports which isn't always a bad thing.

sorry, C8 is part of the casting code example C8AE-H heads C stand for the 1960 decade and D for 1970 8 would be for 1968 so anything including and after C8 such as D2TE-AA heads
