cps

I have a 2000 f-250 that is cutting out intermittenly and lastnight it just died. started right back but I think the CPS is going out. I was told that there ar places out there that sell OEM cps for around 25-50 dollars. Was wanting to know if anyone knows about this.

The new CPS part number is F7TZ-12K073-B. There are several sites that sell them for around 15 bucks.

Paid $15.29 for mine at a Ford dealership, be advised markup varies between dealerships and some of these on line suppliers will probably be ca lot heaper then your local dealer if you can wait on UPS.

Mine was $25ish from the stealership. I wasn't willing to wait and take the chance of the cps failing for good.

My question is why did it take so DAMNED long for these prices to get reasonable. Not but a few months ago we were happy to get them from IH for $100. What gives?
