I shave in the shower also, use a mach 3, and use softsoap liquid soap to wash my face and shave with. I can shave as fast as the 3 stooges could, and have not gotten
nicked since the year the mach 3 was introduced. When I get a days beard growth,
I can wear a t shirt collar ragged in an afternoon, so no yasser arafat beard for me.

I read the 2nd reply and stopped. Sorry for any repeats.
I have tried alot of razors in my life.
I have terrible skin myself and the double and triple and quadruple razors will only aggravate your skin, I gave up on them after I calmed down from the hype. I believe the actual hair is cut way to sharp and way too low to skin.
Try using bic single blade disposable razors and edge shaving cream.
It isn't the closest shave...but will be easier on your skin

Chemo. When I was taking treatment, that was an advantage. I started shaving about a month after my last treatment.

Well i see everyone is still posting here with all sorts of different advice. What i did last time was i followed a combination of mil1lion and kens advice. I kept my face really warm the whole time and i did use one of those rags that ken was talking about. After i was done shaving i used that stuff that mil1ion posted about. Thats good stuff, i didnt get one zit/rash thing. And it was a really close shave didnt cut myself once.

I appreciate everyones input, i really do, but ken and mil1ion had the best advice for me this time.

I don't do a lot of shaving, just my neck and a little trimming. But I used to have the problem described in the original post.

I know everyone has different beard and skin so no method works best for everyone.

My solution is to shave in the shower using hair conditioner instead of shaving cream products along with the black Bic throwaway.

I've been shaving regularly since I was 15 and this is what I have learned. Whenever possible shave in the shower or right after a shower. Get a good razor. Use gel not foam. Shave slow and with the grain. This will not always be down. For example, for some reason under my chin my hair grows sideways. If your beard is thick like mine, shave your face a second time. When done use an aftershave gel, I use Burberry and sometimes Nivea. Hope this helps.

Working it is fine. twist bottom to open double edge blade compartment.

adjust shaving closeness by turning the numbered wheel.

Find a store with replacement blades is the tough part

Every time I see them in a museum display I ask: "How much for those ?"

Thumbs up love these tough car questions :)

hey dude, hope it all went ok

I was told to shave down, not against the hair. to only make one pass. to hold the razor lightly between 2 fingers (so as not to press it too hard) I still use 3 fingers tho...

the blade must be clean and sharp. rinse & shake water out after use so no rust or scuzzy stuff forms (that can bring lotsa infections)

Honestly now i use antibacterial liquid hand soap to shave. it kills the germs that infect those lil cuts. Before I used that I had to wipe my whole neck with rubbing alcohol.

As we shave we'll always get little cuts normally. Its these lil cuts that get infected and swell up in bumps (yuck! had that!) if you wipe with alcohol right after you shave it kills those germs and the lil cuts heal quick without swelling pain or redness. Or shave with antibacterial soap kills it as soon as you cut it.

Hope this makes sense, it sure works for me
