Tony I am 99% sure you need a new Transmission range sensor. It has been the cause of atleast 6 romp idles in the last 6 months I have come across here. Its a $50 sensor at Ford. 10 minute change out with a few metric wrenches.
Yeah I am liking it better than my 95. Except I can't seem to stop buying mod parts for it! I blew the turbo after 2 months so had to get a new one (stocker) added and IC, rear disc brakes, got some AA awaiting a DIY kit for stage 1's, and a bunch of other stuff plus all the repairs it needed but atleast this truck isn't rusted out like my 95 so I don't feel back putting money into it. Good fun PMS is!!
I have listened to you youtube romp idle and it simular to what my truck started doing today.
This morning I took it to the dealership to perform few TSBs, reprogramming PCM module. When I got home it started doing that just 20 mins after leaving the dealership. Coinsidece or not. But I will look into that sensor.
Thanks.
