yes it will work. you may have turbo surge like the superduties if you get into higher power ranges. and yes it will probably be ok if you don't get it balanced but I would do it if its at all possible. Ron will do it for free if you buy his rebuild kit which I strongly suggest. His kit is cheaper but includes twice as many parts as everyone else.
Yea the problem is im in college 550 miles away from home with my tool box. I cant send my turbine wheel to him because I will be doing this in a weekend. While im off from school... so if its ok not to then im not. Does this wheel make more power/less power??
------------Thanks, Jeremy
After having changed my turbo, I would say that the wheel itself isnt what you would notice on power, but rather the housing size is what changes things. If your wheel is not dusted, or dinged/broken, I would NOT change it just to try and get better power. It is a lot of work to start and you will spend more on tools than the wheel is worth if you dont have the right tools.
Thts the reason im changing it out mine wheel is all chewed up...i just figured that since i was changing it id upgrade a little while im at it... I have full set wrenches std/met, screwdrivers, hammer, full socket set 1/4"-3/8" w/extensions and articulating ends. allen set.

Yes i think ur right ... I just went ahead since money is tight and bought the 99/03 turbo wheel only 15.00 even though its not as good as our stock and got a rebuild kit to go along with it.

you can get the stock superduty wheel for $20. the stock OBS wheel is over $85. the superduty wheel will push more air but the OBS one won't surge. its a trade off either way.
Yea I dont run her hard so I shouldnt get too much surge if im easy on the pedal and if it flows more air that would go nicely with my hyptertech. I couldnt find any cheaper than 88.00.

I was reading about surging in the superduty forum...seems that our compressor housing is a different size A/R 1.10 and the superduty is A/R 1.0 Therefor the superduty wheel which is made to flow more air overflows the the housing, which if im thinking right since ours is a bigger housing we can handle the extra flow of air without surge, that the wheel puts out, almost like an upgrade for our own turbo. I will post my findings when I get it rebuilt and back together how it acts.
