Would the Wildman chip be a noticable upgrade from the chip that's in the banks stinger plus setup? I have all the components installed and was considering the swap of just the chip.
Great! I've got the gauges covered; pyro, tranny temp and boost. I wanted to make sure it was worth spending the money over a chip I already had. I'm not that impressed with the banks ottomind...but i've never been able to compare to anything else. I want to be able to blow some black smoke without blowing the truck up! Thanks for the help.
Exactly the situation I'm in - thinking of getting a chip from Tony and pulling my Banks Power Pack chip. I talked to Tony a couple days ago and told him what I got but I want to pull a valve cover and verify which injectors I have before I order it. Something the previous owner said makes me want to check. About 6 months ago I sent my Stinger Plus chip back to Banks and swapped it for a Power Pack chip. The only difference between the Power Pack and Stinger Plus is the chip and IC. There's quite a noticeable difference between the Stinger Plus and PP chips but Tony says he'll blow the Banks chips away. So I'll probably get one soon. Had I known 18 months ago what I know now, I would have gone a different route building my 7.3 but I gotta say the Banks stuff made a huge difference over stock. Running no chip for the 10 day turnaround made me wonder how I ever drove it stock. It blows a noticeable amount of smoke but it's not a sun blocking smoke screen like I've seen some trucks do. Removing or gutting your cat and running 4in exhaust all way back will help you also.
ive had tonys programming in all my trucks since i cant think of when. and have had no issues with the programs. i gotta have him do some live tuning nice only having him 1.5hr away now!!
