I am going to buy a chip for my truck from Tony Wildman. Called the OK number and it was disconnected.
Searching this forum I found a website "totaldieselperformance" for his chips.
When I looked at the website, under the category for 7.3 L chips the little icon says "Van Aken"
OK, I realize I run the risk of sounding really stupid, but is "van aken" and Tony Wildman the same thing?
If so then I suppose I need to call the Ft worth number listed on that website.
Van Aaken is the manufacturer of the actual chip (computer component) and Tony Wildman does the programming that is put on the chip. Van Aken builds high quality chips that several companies put their programming on.

Check out Beansdieselperformance.com They sell DP tuner chips in 1-32 positions and setting configurations, all of which can have some Tony Wildman tuning put on them. Plus Beans is legit! and I have spent alot of time on the phone asking questions and seeking advice and they have loved every minute of it (at least so Im told). They're a great company and have very reasonable pricing on all their products for our trucks. Good luck!
I ordered one of tony's chips about a month & a half ago. Had trouble getting him on the phone. We did our talking via e-mail & I ordered thru the web site. No problems & the chip works great.
just got a chip from tony and had no problems at all. ordered through diesel performance plus. had a question about the install and called tony. got him right away on his cell phone and spent about 20 minutes talking me through everything. even called me back a few hours later to make sure everything went well. all in all a pleasureable experience (even though the ride afer the install was the most enjoyable!)
Im tellin ya, Dp-Tuners is where its at! Customer service is top notch and they are always there to lend a hand. Plus the reasonable prices make it an even better experience. So a big shout out to the Dp-Tuner Crew, keep up the outstanding work!
tony has more experience tuning for obs trucks, he is in the moving process, his site totaldieselperformace is the way to get ahold of him. and any programming can be put on the F5 chips.
NO. The F5 chips are made exclusively for DP Tuner. We have exclusive rights to it. We were the ones it was created for. The company we buy them from makes other chips to buy, but the F5 is only sold to us. Who ever is telling you other tuners can put their programming on the F5 is wrong.

In more ways than one or is it F5. Anyone can put any program on any micro-chip. Thats all. Maybe DP could work together with Tony on this one. With that said, Tony seems to have a greater following, regardless of F5's user interface benefits. Then again my statements might and always tend to have flaws. Or by some magical bout of hope, How about you guys give me one of each and I'll test them for a year. Keep up the good work and don't stop making programs better!!!

you cant get a 32 pos chip, IIRC a 16 pos f5 is the most you can get.
As you can see, ive dealt with both Tony and Bean so i ahve nothing against either of them. But coming on here and telling someone to deal with bean instead of tony because he's not legit is a bunch of BS. Both are standup companies to deal with.
Tony no longer sells the TS 6 pos chips because they had alot of problems with them. the Vanaaken chips he sells now work very well. Tony's new # is 817-932-5078 give him a call and he'll answer any questions you may have.

Evidently you over looked this post of mine Lucas. I have dealt with both of them as well but I am a Beans Diesel supporter so if you don't like what i have to say then find a different forum, just that simple. Thank you much
