I posted to a few of the other forums, but haven't heard anything back yet so I was wondering if you guys could help. I'm looking to get a chip for my 2001 Superduty. I have the V10 with 4:30 gears, K&N intake system and a custom straight pipe exaust, 11in. lift and 39.5in. tires.
1. Do you have a chip in your V10 and how do you like it? Which one is it and would you recommend a chip?
2. What can I expect for HP & torque and does it do anything else (change shift points, etc)?
3. Would you recommend a 91-92 octane chip for me over the custom 89 octane? If so, which chip?
I have a 2001 V-10.....Ken Just supplied me with a chip....about 4 tanks ago.....I reallly like it. I have the 373 so I don't really smolder the tires but this baby will rock on the highway.
Use Ken - He turned me around overnite and the directions for install were easy so I had it in the truck in about 30 minutes...
Go for it - it is the cheapest HP : $$ that you can do.

1. Costs slightly more for the blank chip
2. Can have two programs instead of one (you pay a custom fee for the second if its a gas chip, no additional fee for the diesel)
3. Has an optional keyed kill switch (extra cost)
4. Has an optional 3 way LED switch --- you need to purchase this if you use more than one program
5. If you only buy one program now, you can later upgrade the chip with a second program.
6. When there are two programs on it from the same code family, you can switch programs on the fly
Anyone holding off waiting for a Delta needs to keep it mind that it will cost more, especially if you want to programs. Unless its a diesel, you're NOT getting two for the price of one.

Hey Byram, looks like we have the same truck engine/tranny wise. Figures I am curious about with chip, Dyno and MPG. Any increase in the MPG? Have you done any intake work? Thanks
Their 'Switch chip' comes with 2 programs, towing, performance, racing and/or factory settings, has a switch to turn it on and off or switch from program to program and costs only $299. I want to be able to run reg gas 90% of the time, and hit the power button when I get the trailer loaded on, or when I want to embarass the kids with their hats on backwards in the 1.6 liter Honda Civics with the fart pipes.
