i thought stage 2's are the same as one's but with the bigger nozzles?
Partially correct. Depennding on who you buy your injectors from depends on whether or not that statement is true. Some "Stage 1" injectors flow less fuel than there "Stage 2" injectors. Other companies utilize the same injector but put different nozzles on the injectors.
On the larger nozzles, the nozzle holes are opened up more to allow the fuel to be released out of the injector in less time. More fuel in the cylinder in a shorter amount of time allows for a bigger explosion. Fuel needs to be pushed out in a timely fashion or you will not see the complete gain of the injectors.
ok then why is the diy-kit so much more for the stage II's than the stage I's. if i could get the stage I kit and some stage II nozzle's for fairly cheap then that would be awesome, but i don't THINK that's going to happen.
i was wondering what kind of milage you guys got before the injectors and now afthr. i get 15 on my best days no matter how easy i drive and 12 on the normal days when i leave the line before the guy on the bicycle. i have a power 3 programer and straight exhast 3". every one i talk to says they get 18 at 55 i did for a month and got 15. any help thanks
you can also do your injectors yourself with out the diy kit if you got the time.
me and "JOAT" where going to do this and where talking about in a thread and had all we needed. it wasnt a week or two later the diy company started up.
in the end i had no time and was in the process of moving so i sent mine to casserly.

i wonder if you could get diy-stage 1's and some stage 2 nozzles and see an increase in power. just thinking out loud, but if you get bigger nozzles then a little more fuel is allowed into the cylinder allowing for more power and smoke.
That is what I did. Even though the Stage 2's flow 20cc's more, DIY told me that difference is only in numbers of who wants the biggest mathematical flow and will show no real world power difference. So, yes, you can do that. It doesn't really save any money though.
