CHIP AND DIY injectors
<O

1.- I think that the chip is first and later the DIY inj. But to reburn later the chip for me is very difficult, because I live ouside of your country
2.- Can I buy a chip burned to a DIY injectors and will work fine with the stock injectors?, and later go to the 160 cc inj. or is bad idea?
3.- With the Chip I have to address the tranny with some shift improver kit, like BTS VB or transgo or sonnax, etc? or only when Ill do the DIY injectors?.
4.- If I do both (chip and DIY injectors), I will need a different HPOP?
5.- Im not thinking about to get an I.C. (at least for now).
6.- Im definetively thinking in a TW 4 position chip to get some fuel economy, more power to tow, and two more???, what positions do you would recommend?<O

Thanks for your help.<O
2. see 1
3 tranny- most chip change tranny shifts and line pressure some. the bts valve body is probably the best aside from a full tranny. but then again its best to get your chip burned for the VB also. the tranny will definatley need somethign done with the injectors. most don't need anything with just a chip but it does help to have something.
4. no you won't need a different HPOP. you may get a Check engine light every now and then but you won't hurt anythign with that, your just not getting all the power you could. you could easily upgrade to the 17 degree pump later
5. many are running without an IC with stage 1's
6. if i were getting one (hopefully soon! I don't tow much at all) I would get a stock (for when my wife drives it), 40 tow, 60tow, 80hp, 80econo and 100hp. atleast that what I am thinking right now. that may change once I get my IC in and see how my temps are.
Come to my mind some other questions:
1.- If I only buy a chip, the increase in power is noticeable with stock injectors ? (I have read that only 70 HP and the torque?)
2.- What about of the MPG?
3.- What would be the program with only 4 position chip?
4.- Only with the chip, I dont need to adress the tranny because it changes tranny shifts and line pressure some?
2. MPG depends on your right foot. I don't consider a chip an economy booster for fuel mileage. it may help if you can drive the correctly. if you don't change your driving style after you get a chip your mileage should not drop at all but it may also not rise.
3. 4 positions- stock 40tow, 80hp, 80econo, another variation I would consider is stock, 60tow, 80 econo, and 100hp, if you tow heavy I would consider the 40 tow.
4. if you only do the chip the tranny should be ok stock. a sonnax kit or BTS would be treating your tranny very nicely though! most chips raise line pressure a bit and some play with shift points so that helps but not all chips are created equal.
RÖENTGEEP - It sounds like you are getting your truck modifications in place. I have read a lot of stuff that Tim suggested to other people and I do not think he would give bad information.
Good luck with modifications.
