DIY injectors

Who here has done this job? I am thinking about going this route for my truck. I think the turbo I just put in (1.0) housing would work great with some stage 1s. It looks pretty basic to build them up, just not sure about running into any trouble with the sleeves etc. Any thoughts would be great.

I am also assuming that the kit comes with detailed instructions for assembling the injectors?

Good post Suber, I was wondering about doing this myself as well, seems like you and me are the only ones running around with stock injectors on this site!

i too am bone stock sticks, from what the other guys are saying the 1.0 housing will hit over 35 psi on stage ones. i think that is what tjbeggs has on his rig, and i thik his spun apart if i'm not mistaken, i am sure he'll be on this one soon. from all the other guys, anything with fuel upgrades needs to stick with the 1.15 housing

Well if that is the case, I still have my 1.15 in reserve in the garage.

I have the DIY stage ones. They were surprisingly easy do. The instructions include a cd rom with pictures which makes it easier. After you've completed a couple you'll find yourself flying through them with no instructions. Took me less than 20 mins per injector. Just make sure you have a large clean work area with a vise to work with. There are lots of small parts you dont want to lose.
Ive had mine in for almost a year now with no injector problems. My turbo has held fine, whats hurting is my tranny. Already blew up a torque converter that wasnt that old. Maybe 2 years. The rest isnt far behind.
