Thanks for bringing this thread back to life. I am on driving borrowed time . My left front is shot. Is there a complete thread of removal and install of this bearing, and what is it called so I know what to get. Thanks
Where does the excess grease you are pumping into the bearing go? If the unit is sealed, would seem like there would be pressure inside.
It pushes out into the interior of the hub behind the big seal on the back side. I suppose eventually it would come out around the big hub seal if they didn't need replaced so often.
Great thread but I have a question that I did not see asked and it is... If you have rear wheel ABS only, can you purchase hubs with the ABS sensor and put them on? or are there physical differences that would prevent this? If I could I would like to purchase new hubs at my convienence, put the grease fitting on and then on the truck later while enjoying a cold one.

Good question, and it in my opinion is a good idea to purchase the front hubs with the ABS so that you CAN service them, that's what I have done. With ABS were actually cheaper too!
