Rad,

This is to enable the main bearings in the hub to be greased.

You will still have to remove the hub to grease the needle bearings.

Put me on the list as well.
Outlaw you could make this a legit thing for your business as you are making a tool.
They may decide that it's a good thing to make by the hundred lot and offer it for sale to Napa or something.

Very nice Springerpop. I too would like to get one of these. When you made the original how did you turn the bolt down?

Only question I have is whether or not this is necessary/useful on a 2WD PSD. If so, I would certainly like to be on the band wagon and get one as well. Like the others, too, I am more than happy to cover shipping and make an additional donation to boot.

Believe it or not, a WOOD lathe!

I have a Shopsmith, and have a second 1/2" chuck for the tailstock which I used to drill the through-hole and start the tap.

The rest was trimmed to size using a hacksaw blade and flat files.

Crude, but it got me there.

I can't turn anything larger than 1/2" with it, but this was one of those things that I could.

I make do...

F250,

Though I have a 4WD, I believe the 2WD's have completely conventional hubs that can be disassembled for routine greasing of the wheel bearings, so one of these isn't necessary for a 2WD.

No, but you've got the hubs that CAN be properly maintained.

Wish I did...

Ford loaded up the SRW 350 Lariats, and I could not find a 2WD, so I "settled".

Great idea Springer!

Be careful, I know a former member that was "booted" off this Forum for posting an item on this site that he had made to benefit its members. He didn't even mention selling it and he was booted.

What were the grounds for booting him if he didn't intend to sell it?
