glad you are a dyed in the wool guy , but at times my budget{s} didn't allow much so you bought , drove and raced what was the least expensive . i'm a lot further on now in life and get to indulge in what i really want now.
ooops sorry if i sounded cranky . i really just try and stay open minded having owned just about everything one could own . i'm no bowtie boy but ive owned good and bad in all . and this is gonna get me a ration here but, the one truck i had { bought it when my two year old ford and the now ex wifes chev took a crap } that you could not kill or over work was a >>>>> gasp ......77 dodge 3/4 ton i bought for all fo 500 bucks . it's still runnin round here and i've had several other vehicles since then .
don't worry I'm not rich nor did I spend a minnie fortune on m collection unless you say 2250 for all my trucks exculding the 93 a minnie fortune LOL. Sorry off topic.
No back to original, I trhink it is very cool that the French advanced and built the flattie for so long, but I guess I'm stuborn and would rather keep m 32-53 FORD flatheads.
i prefer my fords no matter what year , and i'll tell you what this ol 53 can carry more of a load and is every bit as capable as the gmc i just sold off { another one of those cheap you cant pass it up deals }. the gm was comfy but it could not carry a load to save it's life . and i am finding my self on a daily basis really getting hooked on these ol' flattie's . darn dependable , and this one doesn't complain about anything i ask it to do . i did do something rather stupid with her yesterday though .... 4:00 a.m. on theway to work these wanna be gangsters pulled up next to me at the light at clearlake and dirksen in one of those late model capricecs that sit higher than the last 4x4 i owned with those ridiculous wheels . i geuss they tought they had a race car . light turned green and bessie left their a--e- sittin' there . i aint got no top end so by the time we got halfway tothe next light { approx . 1/2 mile } they caught me but by then it was all over and i was laughin ' at that ridiculous turd of a car . c'mon when a 54 year old truck can smoke ya you need to do somethin' cause thats pathetic !!!!!!
