Works great! Someone got a set cheap from Harbor Freight and I got mine from Wal Mart for around 15 bucks for a pair.
You can also put brighter bulbs. I have 55w in mine.
HOWEVER, when looking out the rear window it's still hard to see because
1. The truck is tall and big and
2. Tinted rear window and dimming rear view mirror
I look at my side mirrors and I have plenty of light.
If you need more light you have other options. More powerful bulbs, more lights in the back and finally mount something on top of the truck to get the light from ABOVE instead around the ground.
just remember, if the housing isn't meant for the higher wattage bulbs, you could run into troubles. burning up wiring, melting housing, ect...higher wattage bulbs draw more power..
i have a set from auto aone. there was a big topic on this in the sd forum. i dont think that more than 55watt bulbs is really necessary. i have pics in my gallery.
Well I put them on both of the trucks to day the 00X and the 04X took me a whole day to wire and install all the light but they work great. Tonight I had to load stuff in the dark but with these light I could see it was ausome. I will post pics tomorrow night,
Nick
