I'm not going to drive with the lights on dude, just use them for when backing up or I need some light in the back but I still preferred to have them on a switch. Don't want them coming on in a parking lot when going in reverse. It'll probably freak people here out and they ARE real whiny around here.
yeah, mine come on in the day as well but dam handy at night without hitting a switch...like the idea of blinding those that tailgate though...time to rewire the set up I guess...but after over 2 years and cheap 55W walmart lights, they still work well...
just in reverse. Only used them around the trailer 3 times, first time killed the battery since we were rebuilding the trailer front. All 3 times were on level ground and worked well. very convenient...
i have a set of lights that i mounted on my hitch. pics in my gallery. there was a big thread in the sd forum and there were tons of guys that got the same lights. they are all black and pretty slim. got them at auto zone pretty cheap.
Iam just starting to put mine on. Bought them a harbor freight tool for a mangers special $7.99. Just starting the wiring. I hope to get the upfitter switchs and wire the light to that I Will keep you posted,
Nick
If you're gonna take pics with the lights on, the best time is at dusk, when it starts getting dark. Enough light to see the truck but enough to see them on.
I shot mine in the dark cause I wanted to get them on here fast.
