Hey mud, I think most posters have suggested that no matter what type music was being played loudly, would have been offensive. It's a matter of respecting other folks space as much as you want your space respected. One can't trample over the other, without one or the other losing respect.

I'm a lot like you, mud. I have friends of all color skin. Don't matter to me if they're green. If they give me the respect I deserve, they get nothing but respect from me. It starts and ends both ways..I don't have to get respect FIRST... I offer it to begin with.

The prejudice part is always a trump card in conversations like this one. It shouldn't be. I can understand being heated and blowing off some steam. Man..can I!! I've felt like some days, my only job is to open mouth to change feet. We all do it one time or another. How's it said..??... We let our alligator mouth out do our hummingbird butt? Something like that.

My point is that we shouldn't drag this down to a completely racial thing, because I don't believe it is. Although, as I stated earlier... with all the danged illegals here, lots of people are on edge ... from both sides, as I see it.

I don't think anyone here truly dislikes you. I don't. You asked a question, which showed to me that you have a concience and wanted some input. To NOT think about what you and that other fellow got into and just go on about your day, would show a lack of concience or feelings. You may be a young fellow, but I think that if you don't focus on the negative stuff that will come your way, you have a chance to become a wise old fart, like some of the other posters.

While the fighting part didn't meet my complete approval, your concience, finally did. Got ya a rep point for it too. A post earlier suggested going to school and getting good grades, becoming an engineer, made him consider himself wise. Not so. Wisdom is something one gains from experiencing life and LEARNING from it... not repeating mistakes time after time. There are many educated men out there...but few make the ranks of "wise".

Kinda like the old adage.. if ya wanna sing the blues, ya gotta pay your dues. Same with becoming truly wise. Ya gotta pay those dues and learn from the bill. When ya think ya know everything, ya find soon that ya know very little as compared to what there is to learn. Like me on these computer things... the more I learn, the more I need to learn.

I think you'll be alright if you continue to use that good concience of yours, put your brain into gear before releasing the clutch. (Think before punching).

OK.. it's late again... I need bed... sleep. Quit babbling Dick.
Night all.

Being a redneck truck driven whitey myself I get irritated with the boom boom jungle music from the car next to me. Its reaches a whole new level of irritating when its loud enough that it vibrates my mirrors. I enjoy my own style of music and dislike being force fed the garbage others are listening to.

Sometimes ya just have to fight fire with fire, David Allen Coe and Johnny Rebel are my dueling partners. 1200 watts of Kenwood power pumping the obscene lyrics as loud as they go, the look on some of the "brothas" faces when they hear it, its priceless. Its fun to beat em at their own game. Aint one of em had the nuts to say something to me about it, perhaps the confederate flag and AR-15 banners let them know where I stand on the subject.

This good ol boy practices the art of respect, until mine is trampled on. I'll never swing first, if you wanna take a swing at me better make sure the first one finishes the job, I refuse to back down.

That post right there tells me alot about you. Never mind the white boy comment because it is meaningless, but you sound like you have a chip on your shoulder about the whole respect thing. So if someone has a problem with you or simply makes eye contact, does it have to escalate to violence? Just remember as I have learned from my youth, as tough as you think you are, there is ALWAYS someone tougher, and yes you will find him. I was luck to walk away without serious injuries but I learned my lessons well.

Don't get me wrong, you seem like a nice guy otherwise and I'll gladly share a beer with you......in about 10 years when you have settled down a bit.

You know his profile says he's 15. I agree with your comments about his maturity or the lack there of.

His assumption that people here are prejudice due to what they have posted is also another example of his lack of maturity.

Viva la Raza = is a term in which it means a celebration of the Latino culture.

Agreed,

Let my once again recap, he ( Mud ) was first to bring "race" into this by using his "white boy" analogy and then harps on others for being prejudice....

Yes, but he is also attempting to back off from the racial thing. So if others can't, who now has the problem? I am so sick of "he did it first, so I can do it too and be worse!" justifications.

That thinking runs in too many posts, and in foreign policy (Ooooppps, my bad! Don't want to send it to "The Club"!)

As far as everybody reminding me knowledge does not equal wisdom, I agree with you. When I wrote my post, I was kinda upset, and when I typed that part, it didn't come out like I thought it would. After going back to read it again, I understand that. Its one of those things where it sounds good in your head, but makes you sound like an idiot when said/typed. So, I am sorry for putting that part in there, I shouldn't have done that. I agree with what everybody is saying about the (false) statement I made, please accept my apologies.

Grasshopper...thats funny right there!

It's more like "he did it first, brought it up once again and made it an issue, so why can't we comment on that issue?" ( Unless I missed the post where someone made a racial slur towards Mud )

Maybe for Mud it's a good thing the guy he assulted didn't believe in your stated justification. ( Maybe he does but hasn't found him yet )
