It's interesting, I stop at a gas station that has 16 pumps and almost every time I stop there, someone has a stereo blasting. More often than not it isn't country, rock, classic rock, top 40, oldies or talk radio that is blasting - it is rap (complete with the offensive language) or music in spanish turned up loud enough so the entire place can hear. Coincidence? Or is it just the vehicle owner trying to p*ss off the "white boys", as you referred to us. Rhetorical question, I don't need an answer.
We do tend to stereo type; however, it is easy to do. I don't usually encounter the same loud, in your face, behaveior from the Spanish crowd, it is usually the rap bunch. That could be regional, I don't know. The country could use more "white boys" that would stand up to those that would bring everyone down to lower standards.
That's the first thing I thought too. I don't doubt that he was playing his music loud and whitey told him to turn it down...but you know how these stories go...He goes back to his truck and tells his friends that he should have hit that guy...next time he tells it he did hit him, he tells us he put a beat down on him, next time he tells it it will be the guy had to be air lifted out and he is in intensive care and might not live...
As far as me lacking "wisdom", I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics, not too many people around here can say that, so I don't think I lack "wisdom" either.
Ahhhh Grasshopper. You mistake knowledge for wisdom. Knowledge != wisdom. Common mistake. Perhaps the following parable will help.
Once, two bulls were on top of a hill under a tree. An old bull and a young bull. The old bull was laying in the shade chewing his cud and enjoying the day. The young bull was walking around and looking down the hill. Presently he got excited and ran over to the old bull. "The herd is down at the pond!"
he said. "Let's run down there and date a couple of the heffers!"
The old bull chewed for a moment, swallowed and looked up at the young bull. "I've got a better idea." he said. "Let's WALK down there and date them ALL."
Both had the reqired knowledge. One knew better how to use it.

I heard that same story once only the version I heard involved Tim, Dan and a herd of sheep.......baaaah.

No, no, no. I wasn't stereotyping any group of people. I was referring to the type of music that I generally hear blasting. As often (or more often even) as not, it is white kids and young adults blasting the rap or salsa music. I think they do it to blank us old farts off. The "whiteboy" comment was a jab at the OP who played the race card.
