Just imagine how that sounded when I used to pitch in HS and all my teammates used to cheer me on! (That was my nickname, don't ask me how or why, even I'm not real sure!)

To me, this would NOT be different, no matter what music or noise it is.

I'm too old to start tolerating/condoning violence because of a radio or CD player, and, I don't 'push' any of my music on anyone else, and I would appreciate it if everyone did the same for me.

In my not so humble opinion, ANYONE that plays a radio or CD player, boom box (whatever you want to call it) so loud that it disrupts others around you, is inconsiderate (at the very minimum) and shows a total lack of respect for anyone else. (I also call that. . . . RUDE.)
It shows that the person doing it believes that they are 'better' than anyone else, and are just looking for attention.

Thanks for reading.

Blue Lights flashing. Sirens 'wailing'. Men that walk the Thin Blue Line knocking on the door.

I bet his story is total BS. I wouldn't dare do anything like that to anyone. You never know who's packing.

I would front my buddies a couple of thousand $$$ so they can post bail for you....and go ahead and get an attorney for a little heads up. Just in case.

Assaulting someone because they were verbal about your music is quite a bit over the top. Especially since you do not state that he was a threat to you in anyway or that you were in fear for your life.
Next time you may need a coroner instead of an attorney.
What he said, I would just add that most gas stations have camera's so your assault was probably caught on tape as well. You can't dispute that, hopefully you wont end up in the slammer. Also, why didn't you just turn the key backwards so the radio could be on, but the engine off??

He was afraid he might miss some critical information regarding the funeral arrangements for the member of the boy-band he was listening to while simultaneously trying to intelligently articulate to mister intolerant white-boy that the non-English music originated in the US but was translated into non-English and they had to play it really loud in case some more racist whiteys came into the station in their big bad white trash mobiles playing whiteboy music even louder than he was. Then, he got whitey beat up and tossed over a guard rail.

I think the real reason he kept the engine running is a) he was thinking about bolting the station without paying for the gas or b) in case white boy was packing heat and he had to make a quick getaway.

Either way, I doubt seriously if Mr. Mud was coming home from Bible study that evening.

That's the first thing I thought too. I don't doubt that he was playing his music loud and whitey told him to turn it down...but you know how these stories go...He goes back to his truck and tells his friends that he should have hit that guy...next time he tells it he did hit him, he tells us he put a beat down on him, next time he tells it it will be the guy had to be air lifted out and he is in intensive care and might not live...
