BTW- My buddy Rick is going to bail on this weekend. He has to fly to Seattle on Sunday and needs to get his act together for his client on Saturday it looks like.

It looks like six people so far.... campsite up in the air ... I'm thinking Konocti at this point for the AC hook ups because it looks like 96 degree weather this weekend...That's when I like AC at the end of the day.... we'll see how it works out. We're covered whatever way it works out however. Just searching for the best plan right now.

Okay, what do we have for a game plan this weekend?

I just ordered the pushrods, I made an adjustable one out of one of the old ones, near as I can measure by scribing a line on the PR, is 8.65 gives me about 3/4 a turn of preload on the lifter once at zero-lash when torqing down the rocker arm, so I just went ahead and ordered the "factory" length 8.68 PR's, but in 1pc 3/8th, since we're on the edge of open seat pressure of 300lbs, figured better safe than sorry.

I've ordered through this vender on Ebay before, and he ships pretty quick, so hopefully I'll have it all buttoned up in time, if not I'll have to just mail them up to Dan and have him stick them in later.

I'm still thinking of making it this weekend, but I'm going to need directions on where to go.

Will anyone mind if I have to bring my dog along with? She's a pretty cool black lab that I'm going to try to find a babysitter for, but she may have to go along, or if someone has an issue with her around, I may not come.

I figured that I'd crash in my tent with the dog if she has to come along. If I can pawn her off for the weekend I'd love to be able to bunk in the AC equipped MH though.

 

Dog should be no problem, at least as far as the shop is concerned. You can pitch your tent here at my place. I don't think the state park allows dogs, but I'll check. I'll email directions tonight after work.

 

My understanding is that the state park does allow dogs, but they need to be on a leash, so that shouldn't be a problem.

 

As far as dogs go the state park brochure says:

Dogs may come camping with you but must be on a leash and kept in your tent
or camper at night. They are not allowed on trails or near the swimming area.

As far as generators goes we can't run one from 8p to 10am. So when it gets really hot we can run the generators for a couple hours in the afternoon. However, that will probably be the time we are working on the truck so it wouldn't matter.

I'm going to call the State Park now and see if I can get a spot reserved vs just showing up and chancing it.

ShamelessMT - PM me if you want to talk about your stay in the MH. I'll need to check with Mike as well.

Update - Clear Lake State Park has no vancany this weekend. The State Park will allow me to dump for $5 however so that takes care of the biggest issue. It's just be smart to stay on Dan's property and plug in for A/C as he has offered. The dog would be good at Dan's as well. Lot's of room to run.
Not sure if we can have a campfire on Dan's land but, we can do without that. I do have a call into Konocti .... However, it might be more fun at Dan's.

We could take his buddies boat out if we got too hot and if that didn't work....we could just jump in the lake. ;-)

We need to let Dan know so he can move a couple of things around to get the two RV's in there if you are bringing yours. I found out that it's only $5 to dump at the State Park. The State Park sites are full so our best bet is Dan's or Konocti (I'm checking that now) Perhaps, if you do bring up your RV shameless could stay with you and throw some gas money your way to help pay???
