That's the thing about the MH's, we have to keep'em clean for sure...kinda why I was thinking maybe a Hotel room.

The wife is going to see if she has to work on Saturday morning or not, if she doesn't we can make the trek out on Friday as a group or all head out on Saturday late morning, she only work 3-4 hours and should be off by 10am at the latest, I'll find out later when she get's home.

AJ, got your PM, I'll call you later today when I find out what my schedule is, need to head out to shop, can't do much right now, may as well clean things up out there....might even get ambitous pull the cab and be on the '36 and get it ready for the IFS.

Oh, Dan, you mentioned something about getting your friends Mig working? If there's issues with it, I could bring one of mine up, I'm not good with a stick welder.

No, the MIG works well now. He's using flux core wire in it, which is sensitive to polarity and he had it reversed so it welded like crap. All better now, welds pretty decent for a cheap Century 110.

I'll check into motel prices. There's one here in Kelseyville that I know nothing about, and several in Lakeport.

Alternatively, I could pitch a couple of tents on the lawn (if you can call the patch of weeds and dead grass next to the house a lawn) or even down by the creek...

If I read through the thread right, here are those saying they will be heading to clear lake next weekend.

Did I miss anyone? I'm kind of assuming Dan will be there. I am guessing I'll show up at about 10:00am. Well, assuming someone gives me a clue as to where we will be meeting. Clear Lake isn't that big, but I'll bet there is more than one Ford truck in town.

I thought about driving my motorhome up, but I think the hotel sounds like a much better (and cheaper) idea.

I'll email directions to everybody in the next couple of days. I'll try to get some room rates tomorrow.

I recently drove through Clear Lake, yesterday in fact, (sorry dan, didn't have your tele #) and Clear Lake is far from a small town. That place is huge. But it looks like a fun place to get after it. I think I could get lost there real easy.
I was looking for an old bump side Ford, but no luck. Then, I realized that The Town of Clear Lake is not on Hwy 20 at all. Just the lake itself, so I quit looking for the old Ford and continued with my jouney.
I think directions would be a real good idea, Dan. Chet, don't leave home without them.

I would love to come over the mountain and join in guys. I am scheduled to return to work tomorrow, after a week vacation, and I have heard that there is allot of BS that has occurred in my absence. One thing is, one of the guy's wife is very sick (life threatening illness) and there may be some manditory overtime in store for me when I get there, to cover for his absence, as well as any of the other disasters that have surfaced while I was gone. Won't know until tomorrow.
This sounds like a great time! To think, I just came through Clear Lake yesterday. Hmmmph...

Well. I certainly do feel slighted...I know I gave you my numbers. But I do understand Tim. Due to your advanced age, I suppose we should feel fortunate that you can remember...uhh...what were talking about again?

BTW, congrats on 3K posts...!

AJ, I got busy the past few days and forgot to call you...

Anyway, looks like I'll have to leave late Saturday morning, the wife will be working and I need to drop my Daughter off at lessons at 10:00am in Modesto, my mom will watch the other kids so I'll head around 10:00.

I'll strap the engine down to a pallet, should still be able to squeeze the rearend in as well...gonna con the wife into letting me take her truck up. I'll probably be up to Dans around 1:00pm or 2:00pm.

Mike - Sounds good - You know you can stay in my motor home as long as we can agree that we are both going to shower after the days work and before we go into the motor home and sit down. There are some public showers at the campground we can use that if aren't half bad. The reason of course is that grease/cloth/leather doesn't mix. Rick (my race car partner) had to bail because he has to fly to Seattle Sunday afternoon to work on Adobe's network so that leave one or possibly two bunks open. No charge but, help with beer, firewood or camp fees for the gang would be nice. PM me please / or call when you get a chance. I do not have your number yet.<O</O

Dan - Anything we can do Friday night and or Saturday morning getting ready for the engine / rear end to show up? Perhaps others can make it earlier like me to help.<O</O

We could have a gathering around the campfire and strategize Friday night at the state park.
<O</O
What is your schedule like? No sense in me coming up early if you will not be available. My thought at this point is to stay at the State Park. I won't bring up the boat this time. If we decide on a boat ride Sat evening we'll see if your buddies boat is available. Bringing my boat up was just a thought as I need to do a run in her before Aug 3rd when the Nephew's show up from Colorado. I think at this point I'll just take the boat to the delta sometime this week. I just need to run some gas through her and while I'm at it I'll catch a couple of fish. ;-)
<O</O
Let me know where you need my help and how you want to go about it.... AJ

AJ,

Sounds like a plan, but I'd be willing to kick in on cost, if we we able to go together, we'd have split fuel anyway, or I'd have to pay for a room to clean up, either way, bucks and beer your way

Just don't peek at me in the shower, and we'll get along fine...

Nice talking to you on the phone tonight. We're all hooked up now.

Just need Dan to chime in with when he wants me up there and what we need to focus on before you show up on the scene early Sat afternoon.

Looking forward to the weekend and good company. We sure talked a lot on the phone. I'm also looking forward to meeting the other guys. The fireside chat on Saturday should be off the hook !!!! Lol ...

Dan - It seems like Mike might need directions to the shop. Seems like he could meet us there between 1-3p on Saturday.

As you say .... Get r done .... ;-)

I wasn't planning on letting Mike know how to find us. I thought it would be fun to let him to wander the back streets of Lakeport looking for a bunch of guys working on a Ford truck...

Friday afternoon would be fine with me, AJ. I get off work at 2:30 (usually) so we could go over some things after that, and get you settled in.
