When I was in the service, we maintained all of the canopies with very fine sand paper, and polish.
Do you know how to wet sand painted surfaces? It is very similar, only instead of using a block to obtain a flat surface, you must have a delicate hand and a good eye to watch for equal dulling. You want the surface to get slightly dull with very fine sand paper. The very fine paper (might start with 1800 or 2000 grit, and get even more fine) will start to slightly dull the surface. Eventually after you have scrubbed the surface with very fine paper, the polish process is almost effortless. It will shine like new. Actually better than new. If the screen is cracked, then you will be working without a cause, nothing can take those out.
Take a little car wax to it first, and you will see. Then experiment with the very fine sand paper, and be amazed at how shiney the screen can get.
his works for headlights (plastic, and tailights too)
Flitz will polish the plexiglass and make it look like new.
Wash the plexiglass with warm water and a good car washing soap. NOT dish detergent. (However 'Palmolive' is the least 'hazing' dish soap that I've found for plastics.)
Apply it with a soft cloth or one of those polishing gizmos that are advertised by "Mother's" and then wipe off with a clean, soft COTTON towel.
I use Novus by plexus on my 180 gallon aquarium. It has a three stage system in which you will never see the scratches. I use it on all the plastic on the vehicles as it makes them look new.

This stuff rocks I use it on all of my dirtbike restos, takes all the sun fade out.On real faded plastic I use a drill mounted buffing wheel with the #2 polish and then on to the #1 with a soft cloth.

Amen to that. I use Plexus to clean the windshield of my snowmobile and it works like a charm.
About the Flitz *****: WORTHLESS!!! I bought one of those Flitz ***** for polishing the tunnel of my snowmobile and it didnt do a very good job. Flitz ***** are waste of money, IMO.
