ccv mod and boost leak detector

I finally got my ccv mod done..I had problems with my IC pipes blowing off..I routed the ccv into the air cleaned tings up and put it back together just to find the ic pipes blowing off again..I just up graded my early 99 turbo and wanted to check every thing I put in for leaks so decided to build a boost leak detector..cost me 20 bucks..I put 40 lb into the system and see the boots slipping off again..found out the hard way not to paint and clear coat the ends of my IC pipes...

Yes when I painted my ic pipes I masked off the ends. I still have the stock hoses , just cleaned them real good.

Ahhhhh clear coat. That's why they were slipping off so easily.

What type of paint do you use to paint the pipes. Mine are just regular ol aluminum, and painting them would be kinda cool.

I used candy apple red dupont paint but coated the pipes with etching primer made for aluminum..my neighbor is a body man for Chevy dealer and set me up with every thing...not sure yet how well it will hold up to heat..for the price it was worth a shot..
