Does anyone make a cable that you can plug one end into the ECU where the chip goes and mount the other end somewhere easily accesible so that it would be easier to put the chip in and out? Some vehicles like vans or cars are a to put a chip in! Thanks. Benjamin
Will the programmer give as much benifit as a chip? does'nt a flip chip plug right into the ECU? I might could do a homemade job if I can find a connector that the chip will fit. Thanks. Benjamin
The programmer has its pluses but only gives the HP increase at wide-open throttle. The flip chip can have an 87/93 octane program combo and you can mount the switch where its handy. You can't make a cable connector for a standard chip, computer chips get flakey when you start increasing distance on a connection bus.
Also, 93 octane? everyone around here sells 91. Can you give me the horsepower and torque boost of a flipchip(87 and 93) for a 260 horse V10? Thanks. Benjamin
I don't like to discuss prices on the boards. I'll just say this much, its really not worth it, over $600. He'll spend more on the flip chip than he'll save on gas....
Can you call us? This one question, answer, another, answer, etc. is slow and time consuming. The chip does not require 93. 91 is required and 93 is recommended.
Thanks very much for your time I know you are busy. I'll try to convince him to get a regular chip and just leave it in. If he still wants one I will give you a call. I do have a few other questions but they don't need to be answered yet. Thanks. Benjamin
I don't mind answering questions, its just that this is becoming a conversation that would be better handled on the phone. Our number is on the contact page of the store.
