Angry jet chip

Any one have a 99' f250 ld (7 lug)?Tried to put a jet chip in this week end, part #89913,ended up bending small part on circuit board of ford brain.Jet swears there is no other application and it should work! There is no clearance to fully engage chip to circuit, buyer beware!!!!fully removed brain, removed cover, and you can see where it would hit.Where its located its tough to see where it hits.Any one else have a problem?

jet chip

Jet is correct. All the EEC-IV and EEC-V computer have basically the same basic clearance (if anything, some computers cause the chip to stick out a little more than needed). The Jet chip should go in just enough to make contact with the connector. If its connected and not working then the likely cause is these still some of the transparent conformal coating left on the connector.
