expedition drivers mirror

My employer wants me to replace the drivers mirror or his 99 expedition. I'm not sure how to remove the door panel. Has anyone had any experience with that? What is holding it on and do I simply pry it off or is there a technique to it?

The mirror trim cover just pops off ( just the small triangle) then you have to peel back the foam pad and remove 3 nuts

Do you need to replace the whole mirror or just the glass? If its just the glass, it just pops out. Look on www.kwmuth.com for more info on how to install and remove "F" series mirrors. You will find it in there instruction manual for the Signal mirrors.

I need to replace the whole mirror (drive side, chrome, heated, no signal) and I have been looking to purchase:

The link that 01silvergt gave is great. I used that when I had to replace my drivers side mirror (wife took on a column in an underground garage and lost!!) I actually got mine off of ebay. Came quickly and it was great, had the chrome cover and was heated. It is pretty straightforward to take off the door panel, just takes some time.
