Well I took the plunge and installed a Flex-a-lite FAL-270 electric fan kit on my Expy. The instructions could have been better and the only problem I had was with removing the old clutch fan ( I know it has left-hand threads). Lets just say that it can never hurt anyone again and I will have to buy a new clutch if it ever needs to go back on. Time will tell if it does any good in the fuel economy or power department.
How long did it take you to install and much $$$ did it set you back? I'm considering using Taurus fans in a push/pull configuration (use the push manually for extra cooling to get intercooler temps down) but haven't made a decision yet.

Thanks for posting! Be sure to update us with any real world MPG increase! I too will be making the switch to electric fans soon!

It took me about 4 hours to do but I had problems with the removal of the old fan. If I would not have had that problem it would have been more like 3 hours. The kit cost me about $550 from Summit, I saw a few prices that might have been a little cheaper but I have done a lot of business with Summit so it just seemed easier.
