i dont think any of you really understood what i was trying to say. I know theres different parts to the ignition. BUT the cylinder isnt all you pull out when your taking it to some one, i'll have to try and get a picture. Theres way more too it. You need to take a cover off of it (beyond the wings) inorder to take the actual cylinder out.
Name calling, yes so? I hate being challenged or told I dont know something. I've been in a lockshop my whole life and know what things are. I live in lynn where there are many boosted or junkyard cars so we see our fair share of ignitions needing keys. My other point with that. If you ignition happens to be all one piece (when disconnected from columb) then your out of luck cause the locksmith cant take it apart to replace the tumblers.
And isrx101 there not pins persay like in a house lock, there called wafer tumblers they look something like [] where the key slides in the middle.
and jas88 why did i offer to have it sent here? because i know i can have a key made for it and im trying to help out fellow members maybe??(oh and are you jasper88 from Nextpimp?)
i guess i should say sorry cause i got heated, but maybe i hadnt made clear what i was explaining. sorry

You're thinking of later cylinders. The type in question here uses rocker tumblers. It's a slide bar lock.</and>
