Brake Controller Q's

Are our trucks plug and play brake controller units or do they have to be hard wired in?

Yes & no. there's a connector near the center of the dash. I found the mating connector pigtail in the glove box. I had to splice in the connector to the brake controller, piece o cake. Hopfully the pigtail is not MIA, I wouldn't know where to get one except from the dealer.

The controller pigtail can be had about any place that has a good selection of trailer connectors. Around here Tractor Supply, Auto Zone, and Napa all have them.

yeap what they said. I get connectors at Napa. They are plug and play except when the PO cuts the connector off and does hard wire it (I hate that!)

yea it's a pretty much direct plug in. Unless like TJ said the P.O. did a stink'n hack job on the wiring.

I love it people will hack their wiring all up to save $5 and make a total mess. Instead of buying an adapter and keeping it neat and clean. Go figure.
