Only the '05/'06 Superduties have the integrated brake controller as an option.
If your Expedition has the tow package (if it has the 4pole flat and the 7pole round connector below the bumper, and it has a hitch, it has the tow package.) --The pre-wired connector is located under the dash area to the right of the steering column. If you get a brake controller, you will need the pigtail (extra wire) with the Ford connector on it, then you splice the pigtail to the controller. Then it all plugs in up under the dash, and the controller will then work when the brakes are applied. The factory connection can be hard to find--it is a 6 hole rectangular connector and it should be attached by a plastic bayonet to the vertical dash brace to the right of the steering column. Be careful of sharp metal edges when you have your hand in there.
