Question Injectors ????

I was having some ARB's and gears installed in my truck and the guy installing them for me commented on the excessive black smoke out the exhaust and the rough idle it had . I have not noticed the problem because I have been driving the truck for 8 years and just used to it and I have almost 200,000 mi on it. My questions are .... 1- how can I check to see if the injectors are bad ????
2- Which type injector would be best to replace with if bad ??? I did plan to change them someday to stage 1 or 2 (really leaning toward the 2)
I hear alot about the Beans injectors, where can I get them?
I have an Edge tunner
4" exhaust
free flow intake
3" down pipe
shimmed FPR
5 spd
8" lift ( going to 12" to 14" have to make that myself)
39" tires (going to 41")
front and rear ARB's
5:13 gears

have you done the 10k mod? that would make a rough idle. with all those mods you should have some black smoke, maybe not at idle. check your air cleaner, if the engine is choked it will black smoke. i'll let someone else handle the injector upgrade question, not my forte. oh, it wouldn't cause black smoke, but since your troubleshooting you might check the fuel filter and the screen too if it hasn't been done in a while.

The smoke is not a good indicator of injectors problems unless it is constant smoke even at idle. if its when your in the throttle it could be caused by your programmer and is normal. rough idle could be a number of things. With 200K the injectors could be worn out but its alot of money to just go on what this guy said. It requires some more diagnostic work.

Can you describe the smoke and when it does it, hot, cold, color, idleing, cruising, in the throttle?? all those types of things.

for the smoke try going to the stock programming. if its still smokes in the stock program you might have an issue. How much smoke are we talking? just a haze or noticeable black?

At Idle its just a haze but much smell to it, at cruise or throttle it is much black smoke. Enough to blacken the bumper corner and the exhaust tip alot
