ALL DONE! I tried to post earlier but the cable was out. I did it! And I feel great! It really wasn't that hard!!! Thanks to my 2 buddies BSen with me the whole time (for support and beer) I muddled right through it! AND all of you alls help too! I tried to plug the dampner hole but it just kept leaking so I put it back and tapped it tight with a BFH and a screw driver. The banjo bolt was a task (I think the Cali styles are longer and could never put a wrench on it)! I used a 1-1/4" socket and a stubby 1/2" driver that had a swivel in the handle at the neck and a cheater bar. I took out the filter housing and replaced all the hoses (but I did not clean the housing). I shimmed the FPR with a "BB" but I broke the O ring so I have a regular black rubber O ring in there till Tuesday when the stealership opens. I am beside myself! I had myself beat before I even tried. But with some encouragement (thanks to you all) I tried and it really wasn't bad. BOTTOM LINE: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE THE TURBO TO CHANGE THE LIFT/TRANSFER/FUEL PUMP PERIOD! I am living proof! Thank you all for all the "little tricks" to get it done!

Congratulations. I knew you could do it with a little encouragement. I thought mine looked overwhelming at first too. After reading a few posts on here I did mine with no problems in a couple of hours. Mine wasn't a Cali model though. Most say that the turbo has to come off on your model.
